- For the past few months, the Real People office has been gearing up for what has become one of the biggest events of our year
- We have teamed up with reward specialists, twentysix consulting, to launch a definitive survey on pay and reward, called the Barometer
- Our joint survey will be looking at pay levels and trends and asking the question on everybody’s lips: Is the social housing sector on the brink of embracing bonuses?
In an attempt to capture the story of what has been going on behind the scenes, three years ago Real People teamed up with reward specialists, twentysix consulting, to launch the Barometer Pay and HR Survey.
The survey was designed to look in detail at pay and HR trends across the sector and, taking a glimpse at our findings since we first launched, I have to say that we’ve had some interesting feedback over the past couple of years.
In 2013, for instance, a key finding was that the number of organisations intending to give their staff a pay rise had increased from the year before! However it was also found that these pay rises would be modest and unlikely to match the rates of inflation. So there was good and bad news there as well.
With this in mind, and with the ever looming backdrop of a competitive social housing market upon us, we decided to return again this year with a slightly modified Barometer, in which we would try to answer the all important question: Is the housing sector on the brink of embracing bonuses?
The Barometer is open to all in the sector to answer and to help you this year, we’ve cut it in two. The current survey – live now until 6th October – will look at pay while we return in January to discuss HR and terms in further detail.
Responses are already flooding in and the team is currently busy collating them ... but we’d love to hear from more people and organisations.
We want to know what the real inside scoop is within the sector but we can’t do it without your input. Take part for free by clicking here and remember that only those who participate will have access to the final results.
Thank you in advance and good luck!
