The Awards recognise Britain’s leading social enterprises – businesses which trade to bring about positive social or environmental change.
The finals will take place in November.
Real People is an award-winning HR consultancy and social enterprise developed by the charity St Mungo's. Based in London but operating nationally, Real People specialise in providing HR support to both private and third-sector organisations.
Helen Giles is Real People's Managing Director as well as being HR Director for St. Mungo's. In 2006, Helen set up the Real People Social Enterprise to ensure that her success was shared around the sector, raising people management standards and practice for the benefit of vulnerable people. Under Helen’s leadership, her team have won further awards for their excellence in people management practice.
Helen is also a former 'Personnel Today' HR Director of the Year and has been awarded an MBE for services to homeless people. She has been included in HR Magazine’s Most Influential HR Practitioners every year since it started in 2006, and in 2015 was named one of the 10 Most Influential HR Practitioners of the Decade.
